Uva Ursi
Scientific name: Arctostaphylos uva-ursi

Medicinal value
This herb strengthens and tones the urinary tract and is useful for kidney infections, bladder infections, inflammatory disease of the urinary tract, diabetes, postpartum women to return the womb to its natural size and prevent infection of the womb after childbirth. Pregnant women should not use it.

Religious importance
It is believed that this herb is added to sachets to increase psychic powers.

Habitat
Uva Ursi grows only a few inches tall and prefers poor soils in full sun and can survive temperatures of -50.
