Raspberry

Medicinal value
This herb is good for females as it strengthens the uterine wall during
pregnancy, reduces the pain of childbirth, helps to reduce false labor
pains, eases menstrual cramps and regulates the flow during
menstruation. It is also good for vomiting in small children, dysentery
and diarrhea in infants. After childbirth it also decreases uterine
swelling and cut down on bleeding.
Religious importance
It is believed that is a love-inducing food and if the brambles are
hung at the entrance of the home it prevents unwanted spirits from
entering.
Habitat
This biennial or perennial plant with a height of 3 - 6 feet prefers
cold winter and long cool springs and plenty of water for better growth
in the Southern region.
Rose
Scientific name: Rosa spp.
Medicinal value
The vitamin c of this herb nourishes the skin, acts as a blood
purifier, as a remedy for infections, cold and flu.
Religious importance
It is believed that Rose water is used in gourmet dishes and in love
potions. Petals are used in healing incense and sachets. The hips are
strung like beads and worn to attract love. Rose petals if sprinkled
around the home calms personal stress.
Habitat
They are adaptable to many types of soils, need adequate water and are
best grown in the specific growing season. North America has an
abundance of rose plantation.
Rosemary
Scientific name: Rosmarinus officinalis
Medicinal value
This herb stimulates the circulatory system, treat bites and stings
(externally). treats migraines, bad breath, stimulates sexual organs,
treats nervous disorders, upset stomachs, regulates menstrual cycle and
eases cramps (internally). It is also used in lotions to ease arthritis
and muscle pain.

It is believed that Rosemary is used for protection, banishment, to do
away with evil spirits and bad dreams.
Habitat
Rosemary is a perennial that prefers mild climates available inside
house. This plant reaches a height of 2-4 feet and tolerates poor soils.
Rue
Scientific name: Ruta graveolens
Medicinal value
This herb helps in expelling from the body, poison from snake bite,
scorpion, spider or jellyfish. Pregnant women should not use it.
Religious importance
It is believed that this herb is used in sachets and amulets to ward
off illness. The smell of the freshly crushed herb keeps away thoughts
of envy, egotism and love gone wrong.

This bushy perennial has a height of 2-3 feet and prefers average to
